Medusa - comes from the Ancient Greek word for "guardian" who was one of three Gorgons, daughters of the sea gods Phorcys and Ceto, and sisters of the Graeae, Echidna, and Ladon. All of the siblings were born monsters, but Medusa has bad luck and turned into the most hideous of all.
